Police calls: Woodside woman encounters lion at bottom of stairs

Mountain lion sighting: After a resident of the seven hundred block of Patrol Road let her dog out to relieve itself, she heard noises implying that her dog was being chased. She looked out and saw, at the bottom of her stairs, an adult mountain lion about eight ft. long and weighing about 150 pounds, deputies said. There were no injuries and no apparent risks of injury. June 16.
